I have Fuse on my laptop with XP , i have Fuse on my DAW machine with XP Pro , and i have it on my Vista 64 bit Ultimate machine with no problems.

I would uninstall it and shut down then reboot and use something like CCleaner to get rid of the leftovers in the registry. Then reinstall Fuse.

Try the Fender Fuse forum here and you will probably get more help viewforum.php?f=26

if your using windows you could go into device manager and delete all your usb controllers and then redetect them. of course if you have a usb mouse or keyboard they would be removed when ever the controller they were plugged into was removed.

Ive done this many times to get usb printers to work again.

good luck

you have tried a different usb port right?

Hey getapick,

Try this.

With amp connected, go to Start/Control Panel/System/Device Manager. From there locate the Universal Serial Bus controllers title. Then select the USB Composite Device in the list. If you have more than one USB Composite Device installed, highlight each one, one at a time, and disconnect your amp to see if the Device you selected disappears. If the selected Device does not disappear, highlight the next and so on until you get to the device that disappears when you unplug your amp. Then right click on that Device, and select Uninstall.

Next disconnect and reconnect the amp. You should see your PC reinstall the Driver. Once this is complete, please restart your PC and launch Fender FUSE to see if the amp is showing as connected.

I did what you said and i found it.Then i did the uninstall and turned the amp on and off. But it didn't reinstall. What happens is when you connect the amp there's a message that pops up on the status bar. I says that one the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. I also restarted the computer like you said. I'm thinking it has to be amp or usb cable. :) Thank you loren for taking the time to help me. The mustang 1 amp is great amp for the price. I practice on mine all the time. keep on rock'n .....

I don't know if this applies to your situation, but I think I remember reading somewhere that the Mustang's USB cable should not be connected to a USB hub but directly to an open USB port on the computer.

Just a shot in the dark, hope it helps.

dude
