I bought this new fender mustang 1 and I installed Fuse on my mac book pro, OS 10.6.7.
Fuse says that the amplifier is not connected even when i have connected it by the usb cable. I tried booting the mac in 32 bit by running the following command in the command line tool
sudo systemsetup -setkernelbootarchitecture i386
it did not help. still the same problem. I searched these forums and have not found an answer to this...can some one please please please respond and let me know what the fix is asap. Thanks.

Glad you solved your problem. I have a Macbook Pro also and am curious how old yours is. Mine is about a year old and it connects just fine. i did notice that you have to be fairly patient with the installer. It takes a while to come up and it's actually two installs you have to run. One for the Fuse app and another install for the drivers. I thought I was done but about thirty seconds after the first install, I got another prompt for the drivers install.

The new 2011 Macbook Pros and the 2010 Mac Pros boot into the 64 bit kernel by default instead of the 32 bit kernel all previous Macs boot into. FUSE has offered 64 bit support from day one but Mac OS X 10.6.7 contains changes to some files that can affect the ability of 64 bit FUSE to connect to your amp.

We released an update to Fender FUSE last week that fixes this issue.
