Inspired by the manual I went to save stomp pedals onto the the effects dials on the amp, but fuse wont allow this. Different reverb/delay effects can be saved to the dly/rev knob, and modulations can be saved to the mod knob, but there dosnt seem to be a way of saving pure stomp pedals to these.
I was hoping to set up my amp with three or four of the amp models, and then to be able to dial in overdrive, touch fuzz, compression but that doesnt seem possible.

Any suggestions?

It's true that Mustang I/II models give you no control of stomps from the amp it's self. If you want to do this on the fly at say a gig or jam, you'll either have to drag along a laptop or upgrade to a Mustang III-V.

Sorry, but the M I/II models were designed for home use and to be optimized via FUSE. What do you want for $100?

That isn't the impression given by the now infamous "advanced" user manual. Will just have to save preset with stomps and w/o mod/dly/rev to the beast and then edit the mod and dly/rev knobs to be able to dial in extras I want.

I was a little disappointed by this, too. Doesn't really make any sense...you can save any of the other effects, including where they come in the signal chain (for example, you can save a reverb as either a pedal in front of the amp or a rack effect between the amp and the speaker), and these can be assigned to one of the locations on the Mod or Dly/Rvb wheels.

It seems like it would have been a simple enough matter to allow this for the Stomps as well!

I would have used that...set up on OD pedal as a clean boost in front of the amp to be selected or de-selected by one of the effects wheels! Would have been handy!

Makes you wonder if there was a specific reason for that? Also wonder if that could be remedied through a firm-ware update??

of course the other problem with the current setup of presets is that any stomps in the chain cannot be deactivated throught the amp, whereas the delay/rvb/mods can. Its not obvious unless you go into FUSE which of the presets have which effects added, so dialing in a clean tone can be tricky without your laptop connected. I have pulled together a spreadsheet with the MI/II effects pedals to help with this-
