Hello

I own my mustang iv now for one week, and I like it really for the use with my band. The only problem I came across: How can I level out the volume over several presets, so I don't have to go to the master volume after switching presets (thinking of a live gig, where the audience don't want to wait until the guitar player is ready  ). If I'm right, the master volume is not saved to the presets ...

Or do I have to use the volume knob to the left for leveling, as this is saved to the presets?

Thank you in advance
Ivo

use volume and gain knobs to level out presets, and than save them. Once you level volume of the presets use master volume just to control overall...volume...of the amp.

First:

Pick a very clean sound that you will be using the most. Set the Gain and Volume as you like. THEN, set the Master Volume to the db (volume) you want for the LIVE sound.

It may seem strange, but your CLEAN tone will carrly the most db's.

Second. Pick the patches with high intensity (OD or Distortion) and use the GAIN setting for the OD/Distortion and the Volume (not Master Voulme) to bring ithe volume up to the same db's as the clean patch. (Go back and forth from your clean reference patch to the one you are working on).

Do this for each patch you plan to use. When this is done, you can go to any gig and use ONLY the Master Volume to meet the needs of the band/venue you are playing.

Good luck, Bo

Thank you both for the answer, that's exactly what I mean.
I wasn't aware that I had to start with the clean sound (and to be honest, I don't understand  ), but I will try this solution for saving my presets.

Cheers

You don't have to start with a clean sound. I set my 00 preset (which is now 'Aussie Rock') so that the Volume is around 5.2. I then went to all the rest of my presets and set the volume by ear. Then I went thru them and listened to hear any major differences. I also used a decibel meter app on my phone. Works for me 8)
