I was using the Mustang I last night and everything was working fine.

Today I turn it on and plug in and first off I notice the footswitch is not working. Finally realize that somehow the presets for the footswitch are just gone. That never happened, even before I got the footswitch, but no biggie, easily re-programmed it and it works fine.

All my amp presets are all there and working fine.

But then I go to turn the Dly/Rvb wheel and all my delay and reverb effects are gone! Turn the wheel to the next notch, nothing. Turn it to all the notches and nothing. So I try the Mod wheel...same thing, all the modulation effects disappear...keep turning the wheel and nothing. If I pull up a new preset, all the programmed effects are there, but turn the wheel they all go away. This happens for every amp preset.

I try restarting the amp...same thing.

Finally decide to connect to Fuse, which confirmed my hunch that all the effects presets are just gone!! For Dly/Rvb, it's just completely blank! For Mod most of the presets are showing jibberish for the names, but a few are blank...weird!! :?

What the heck is going on? Anyone else ever have this happen? It's making me a little paranoid.

I may have to do a factory reset. I don't really want to have to reprogram all those effects...even though half of them were my own on the Dly/Rvb...most of the Mod ones I left as it came from the factory. At least I have my amp presets saved in FUSE.

Anyway, has this happened to anyone else? I have to say this does nothing to install my confidence in the amps reliability!

Have you done a Backup that contains the custom FX settings before everything went crazy?

I don't think so...didn't know that you could! Guess I'll have to make sure I do once I get it all squared away again!

I had the same thing happen on my Mustang II. Because I don't use the effect knobs very often, I can't pinpoint when I lost them. I hadn't customized them yet so I just did the factory reset and reloaded my presets from Fuse. I was on the beta firmware so I went through the firmware update again and reloaded the beta version. Everything was fine so I took a backup. Yes, very weird...

Well, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one...I think... :?

I think it's back to normal now. But what was even weirder was that after I did the factory reset, while all the effects were back, the only way to engage them was to turn the wheel. Previously, if I double clicked on the effect I wanted in FUSE, it would engage that effect, but while the effect was clearly there, double clicking on it did nothing. But I noticed the one custom effect I had saved at that point DID work by double clicking. So I went ahead and programmed all of my custom effects back in, then I re-saved all the factory presets. Then the double clicking worked on all of them. Doesn't make any sense, but it works now, so I guess that's what matters!

And I ran the latest Firmware update again...like you, yachter, I assumed the factory reset overwrote that, too.

Anyway, I think I'm back up and running now, and suffice to say I'll be doing a backup everytime I make any changes to any of my presets!! I'm just thankful I had all my amp presets saved...that would have been a pain!
