Is there any way to get a Fuse app for my new Ipad II ?
And maybe an Ipad to usb connector?

Help us technogeeks Fender!!!!

I know there is Amplitube Fender availability, but that's kinda lame IMHO.

I'll put my money on "never going to happen". Fuse is written in java and not likely to be ported. Also the iPad is niche, people using USB on the iPad is a niche of a niche. For how infrequently you have to use the software I don't see the advantage or see why Fender would invest in it.

A 30 pin connector to USB is readily available for the iPad - http://blog.faberacoustical.com/2010/ipad/usb-audio-on-ipad/. The app itself doesn't have be a port of Fuse. In fact, it would probably be more efficient if it weren't. This could be yet another revenue stream for Fender so why not?

BTW, the iPad is not anywhere near as "niche" as you might think. It is becoming quite pervasive... much to the chagrin of those who hate Apple.

there are lots of iPads in the world, but you need three groups to overlap: people who have a mustang, the camera connection kit, and the iPad. If there was an iPad app, is one of the get started steps "buy the $30 Apple Camera Connection Kit"? They aren't going to charge money for Fuse and I don't see how the app expands their user base or sells more amps. I just don't see a huge need to change sag and bias on the bus. :D

Now if Fender opened up the communication protocol you could potentially get an indie dev who would be willing to put a month of time in for a few hundred dollars in sales. I just don't see how it makes sense for Fender to do it.

FUSE is written partially in .NET and partially in Silverlight. There is no Java here.
With iPad the greatest challenge might be getting to the USB connector from iOS. I'm not sure if iPad applications can use it to communicate with external software.
As to the documentation: feel free to use what I have written while creating FUSE replacement for Linux. Now you only need to find skilled iOS developer. :)

Well for starters, I got the camera connection kit working with my Mustang 4 v1 and iPad 4.

I did some nice recording on it with garageband. So I do hope in time, Fender will do an app for the Fuse to work so I won't need to power up my computer everytime I want to get a patch for my Mustang.

Please do one Fender.

iPads seem to be on the decline (maybe just my imagination?). They've been completely phased out of my local school district and replaced with something more practical:
ImageThe above tablet is Android based, so you can run Remuda (a replacement for Fender Fuse on Android). Note: Remuda is not a product created or supported by Fender.

As adept as Remuda is for deep Amp Control, full Preset Editing, its unique Performance Mode features, and other Drag & Drop Preset Reorganizing, and Sorting capabilities not otherwise available from FUSE or the Amp itself, Remuda is not entirely a replacement for FUSE. Remuda does not have any Online Preset sharing nor, backup and restore capabilities.

true, it doesn't have every feature included with Fuse. But if you're looking to interface with your Fender amp using a tablet, it appears to be the only option at this time.

Yup! I'm glad that it's available. Given Fender's long term silence and perceived/alleged lethargy regarding FUSE on Android or iOS, it's great to have found and be using Remuda.

Not quite, you can run FUSE on a Windows 8 tablet. I used to do that before I switched to a Mustang III. It's quite usable for switching effects and stuff, although moving the "wheels" for the parameters with a finger on a touchscreen took a little practice.

Hi ChrisH1, I believe you are the first person to mention it here.

lmao! To be honest, I don't usually click on anyone's FUSE feature wishlist (there is a separate thread for that already, bad forum etiquette!). And I only visit the iPad threads to troll the Apple people.
