Tried above - Hell, they want you to jump through hoops - Why do they need Email address for this? Now I remember why I changed to linux many years ago - none of this BS.

I'll just use Audacity when I need to use Fuse on XP

We ask for an email address because you're registering for an online account with Fender. Pretty much any online account requires at least an email address. If you don't have one check these out:

http://www.gmail.com

http://www.yahoo.com

http://www.hotmail.com

Loren

I understand the need for an email address when I'm registering for a Forum or such, but it shouldnt be necessary to register with Ableton and Amplitube when I want a serial number for the FENDER version of their products and have already registered with Fender.

They just want an email address to spam us with attempts to get us to buy the "full" version of their products.

If I do decide to register I'll use a disposable, one use email address.

JB, don't be so paranoid. I have registered my software and have not received any such advertising from them. They have a Forum just like Fender that you are also registering for. The only e-mail I have gotten was the original confirmation e-mail. If you don't want to use the software then don't But even if you bought the full blown version they would still want your e-mail. And just so you know there is an update to 8.21 from the 8.09 on the disk. Most people that get the upgrade from the LT version buy it from somewhere else like Sweetwater of MusicianFriend anyway. And they know that.
