I really like "old style" carrying space in my amps so I did this to my M5

I'll probably add a small square of plexiglass to shield against accidental bumps onto the inards .

How does your mustang v sound with your epiphone cabinets? i assume the cabs are 8 ohms per speaker?i just got a mustang v head also and i'am running it through my line 6 spider 4x12 cab(i had to do a mod with input jacks to make it true stereo) but it seems on the bright side,i may have to add some tape or felt to the inside of the speaker grill to filter out some of the higher frequencies but i only tried it out at lower volumes,i did not get a chance to hear what the mustang v sounds like at a higher volume.

@metalman ,they sound good(16 ohm each btw) but amp cab selection in amp type editing is critical.I play surf and after starting off with the 65 twin I changed to 59 bassman but not with the standard eq settings(way too o'driven) and the bassman cab.Still early days and further tweaking will be necessary as I've noticed bass boominess when lifting volume.Of course in every room/hall there will be a different response.Just for the record I don't use the curly lead when gigging - they were crap in the 60/70's and they still are, but when practising at home and not moving around they are better than having 5 metres of lead tangled round your legs/chairs/amps etc
have a good day all!!

The images show like this:

Imageshack started blocking viewing by default for some reason, at least in most countries (as far as I understand).

Nice Vintage touch! 8)
Maybe a button down strap to keep the cord and Footswitch from bouncing around.
Velcro would be easy but not vintage.

By George ,he did it again! The new Mustang V - b)!
With summer coming up it's impossible to practise with cans on your head so.....plan "b"....put a couple of 5" speakers in the box!!!and man do they cook!!!

hook 'em up to your output jacks and "Bob's your uncle"(Australian vernacular).Truly works.
No "sweat on me" this summer!Move it and groove it boys n' girls ,mums and dads.
Next mod?...thinking thinking.......

Now that's a cool mod! Props to you, man! You've got a head you can plug into the cab of your choice, but you've also got an ultra-portable combo! Very cool, indeed!

BTW, what kind of speakers are those, I don't recognize them?? Are they like 2-way car speakers? Or full-range home audio speakers?

hi Muleya, they're car hi- fi woofers.Given that these Mustangs are "toppy" in freq resp these beasties just take a little out of that hi-end shrill of digital amps. They're rated at 100w but I don't know what type of watts and I doubt they're RMS but.....surprisingly no distortion till I'm well up on the volume(clean fender sounds not hi gain).
strum on!!

What a great mod - exactly what I need for the occasional jam/open mic when I don't want to drag out a cab or my Princeton Reissue. You think these would fit:

https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/csig69.htm

If so - the V might be the perfect stereo amp.

- Josh

PS> Prior to this modeler, I've been the typical tube snob. This is the only one I've used that gets Fender sounds well - the Princeton and Deluxe models are killer and very, very close to the real thing. The Campilongo patch on the community proves it.
