I'm not clear on saving presets in Fuse. If I create a preset in Fuse and save it, seems like it saves it to the computer, and not the amp. How do I save a preset to the amp in Fuse? Does it need to be saved via the "save" button the amp? Maybe I just don't know what the heck I'm doing...

You can do the 'save' on the amp (seems pretty straightforward to me) or use the method listed in the following post.

Yeah, you can save it with the "Save" button on the amp BUT, there is some funkyness to this that I can't remember... why I stopped doing it that way.

Here's how I do it...

First, make sure the amp is selected for the save. You can varify this by looking at the drop down list box above the above the NEW, OPEN, IMPORT, SAVE and DELETE buttons. On the left side of that list box is and icon with a down arrow next to it, clicking on it toggles between presets stored on the amp and presets stored on the computer. Toggle it for the amp.

Move the selector knob on the amp to the preset slot you wish to over write, this isn't absolutely necessary, it just makes it easier.

Press the IMPORT button, this will bring up a file selection dialog box to allow you to find the replacement preset file you wish to use.

Now press the SAVE button and a dialog will appear to allow you to Change the name of the preset and the preset slot. It should already be on the right slot position if you moved the selector knob like i suggested above.

---

This also works For starting off using the NEW button with the amp selected in the list box. I haven't tried OPEN for a while but I believe that will change the selection from amp to computer IIRC.

Hope this helps.

dude
