Okay - I've got the original G-DEC 30 with it's MIDI capabilities, I've got the new G-DEC 3 Thirty w/o MIDI but super nice with the SD card capability and FUSE, I've got the Mustang II, which I also really like and I recently acquired the Mustang V half-stack (Hello, my name is Dennis and I'm an ampaholic).

If I had to go with just ONE of these amps, it would be the G-DEC 3 Thirty, mainly for the huge backing track capability as I play live with this amp for backing tracks. Being able to play along with the amp to sharpen your chops is great and I don't like that you have to use a computer for backing tracks with the Mustangs. Being able to load 200-500 backing tracks into the G-DEC, then haul it anywhere is awesome.

And now that Fender has released all of the presets and backing tracks for the Blues, Country and Metal G-DECs, wow! I actually own two of the G-DEC 3 Thirty amps and I have configured one as a Country and the other as a Blues. The only problem I have now is not enough time to sit and play with them!

Wow Dennis I haven't seen that many G-Dec's in a Music Store. I agree and disagree Having the backing tracks loaded in the amp is great, But a cheap mp3 player loaded will get you unhooked from a computer with a Mustang. But a lot of people pack a laptop everywhere they go. I don't really see myself playing live to backing tracks, Too much like karaoke. Just my opinion. Seen a show were the guy used loopers and a drum machine. Great player but I got bored with it pretty quick. I feed off the other musicians I play with and that's why I love to play. I'm usually oblivious to the audience. That's why I got the M-IV. Great to practice with but has the Balls to play live.
Just my 2 cents no offense intended
