Yes, a bass guitar performs nicely through my Mustang I. You can find a preset that pleases you, or use the Fuse software to make a custom preset.

I have also run the bass tones created by my Boss DR-880 drum computer through the Mustang. I was looking for a fuzz bass tone. It worked perfectly after tweaking with the Fuse software.

Dont turn the bass up too loud or you risk blowing the speaker.... They make bass amps for a reason...
Lower note - lower signal frequency.
MOst guitar amps are not built to handle it,
So just be careful...

I totally agree with Shuoink.

Should you use your Mustang II as a bass amp? Absolutely no.

Can you plug your daughter's bass guitar into it and do some home recording or low volume practicing? Of course you can, but do not try to rattle the windows with it.

Thank you guys ! (I should have said it was only to record on low volume)

I have to let you know that using the Mustang as a bass amp will void the warranty.

If you use the headphone out as a line out for recording, then the sound doesn't come through the speaker at all. That would be one option if you want to use it that way.
Would keep your speaker safe.

Yes it can damage your amp, but not the actual circuit board for the amp so much as the speaker. I imagine the amp circuit would be able to keep up with the extra drive required for the bass punches; however the speaker will not. The Celestion G12T is a loudspeaker designed for the higher tone range, whereas you bass is all low tones and could possibly cause the G12T to blow.
