Could put this as a poll but opted not to for this round. Does anyone find adjusting volume differences of the patches a little difficult? It's a little aggravating in live situations to have different volumes on the patches. I tried by ear and can get fairly close but still is a pain. I don't really want to get a volume pedal if I can avoid it. I've heard of people using a decibal meter before but I haven't tried it. I'd like the cleans I create to be the same and crunches, leads at their respective levels etc. I already use my guitars volume some to find adjust when live but looking for an all around fix. Anybody know of a good trick I haven't thought of yet?

It's the nature of the beast unfortunately. If you start taking things like the Fletcher-Muenson curve into consideration there really is no solution. At least that's what Craig Anderton told me. Live modeling is a very time-consuming, delicate process and every room you're in will sound different. The volume pedal after the signal is still the best approach I know of because it let's your ears decide what loud is, but I recommend a limiter at the console just in case.

Thanks Gridley for your input. After thinking about all this modeling stuff and problems such as this and have to have this and that to run these efficiently live, I am returning the amp to get the Mustang III and go back to my old trusted fender tube amp live. Better sound and easy to dial in sounds and volume levels. I have to sacrifice some of the effects I know but I'll just get a few more pedals and call it good. I'll use the III at home to practice with at home. I just don't have the time to dial in all these setting everywhere I go and it's much easier with the tube amp and pedals as I don't have to adjust much from place to place as well. Oh well, live and learn. Don't get me wrong, they are great amps but for me not giggable enough.
