My USB slot on the Mustang II just broke. It seems it is only soldered on the circutbord and sticks up through the casing. That's too weak for years of wear and tear! It should be fixed to the casing/the box itself so it does not put stress on the soldering it self.
Please consider this in the future series.

P.S. Otherwise I love the amp, (but can't use it with the computer anymore, sigh)

Can you get it fixed under warranty?

Yes, this has happened before. Be careful with the headphone jack as well.

And, umm, mumble, warranty, mumble.

PITA

What kind of warranty do you get over there? I know it's 5 years in the US, but only 1 over here. Seems like a reason for concern.

Just happened to me in the first week of owning the amp! Fortunately I was able to exchange it for a new one, and I'll be really careful with this one!!

To me, the amp has a lot less value without the USB, so if it were me, I'd try to get it repaired under warranty. If no longer under warranty, it's probably worth trying to resolder yourself...if you're somewhat handy with a soldering iron, anyway!

Fender has a great 5 year warranty, one of the best in the business.
