I purchased a Mustang II amp yesterday because i heard of the interaction with fuse software. I have been trying to get it to work since yesterday as well. I installed fuse and did a firmware update now fuse says "no amp connected" Is there a standalone driver for this device. I am a IT guy and have tried everything to include master resetting the amp, uninstalling the software and reinstalling... Any advice or links to a standalone driver as opposed to the whole software? Please help...

I have definitely narrowed this down to a driver issue. It shows up as an unknown device with only a generic driver installed. I am unable to locate the driver to update it. It is not contained in the fuse program folder. Is there a link to a stand alone driver for this device?

The only driver available is the ASIO driver and you only need that for low latancy audio recording on Windows. The USB device should be plug and play on both Windows and Mac w/o an additional driver.

Stupid question... have you tried (with FUSE closed) turning the amp off, waiting a few minutes, then turning it back on and restarting FUSE?

If you've been there and done that, the best thing would be to call Fender so you can give them all the details such as your OS etc.. It's kind of hard to do that kind of trouble shooting through messaging or eMail.

I did try that, I am currently reverting to their earlier software to see if that works... This is really frustrating knowing what the problem is but not being able to correct it. Thanks for your suggestions.

Another option is using fender's great warranty (5 years). I had a great experience with getting my amp replaced.
