Please excuse my ignorance. When I want to save a preset to my amp (IV) will I overwrite a factory preset? I have had effects pedals that always had a user bank to save presets without affecting the factory settings. If I overwrite a factory preset can I retrieve it without doing a restore?

Thanks

There are only 100 presets and you have to overwrite one of the factory presets to create your own. Use the Fuse software to make a backup copy of all of the factory presets, then you can always get them back later if you need them.

Hope that helps.

There is also a restore function on the amp to go back to all factory.

Check this link out on the Fender site.

Also using FUSE is the way to get the most from the product in general.

I have just bought a Mustang III. My guitar sounds just Sooooo different/better than via the old amp I had for 35 years.
The first thing I did was to go through every setting on the amp and construct an Excel spreadsheet so I could always get back to factory setting for any single/multiple memories that I messed up.
Available if anyone is interested.
Cheers
