Can I assume that the Mustang head will take 16ohm speakers and just put out like 37W per channel or will this hurt the amps.

Thanks

It wont hurt the Amp as long as the Ohms is always higher but the V head is only rated for 8 ohms a side. I've run my Amp with an 16 ohm speaker, and no drop in volume what-so-ever.

If I remember correctly double the impedance, half the power.

I think with Tube Amps, but I noticed no difference w/ the Mustang.

Generally speaking, a higher impedance will not damage the amp. You can actually do more damage to the speaker due to it being underpowered.
