Well, my Vox Valvetronix VT50 died 4 months after the warranty went out. It will cost more to replace than it is worth. I'm thinking about getting the Mustang IV.

I am looking at the manual and I notice there is an FX loop. I have never used one. Could I use a volume pedal in the loop? My hope is that is won't effect the gain in doing swells with overdrive.

Also, is there a 5 year warranty on the Mustang IV?

Thanks in advance.

Check out - http://www.fender.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=50872 - see the bit about the Morley Volume Plus pedal. I got one too -works great! No effect on gain - it's all post the preamp section...
