When I connect the mustang to ableton the amp seams to have a digital feedback sound like a pulse? The sound is also apparent in the head phones when monitring, as of yet I have been un able to record using Ableton because of this. Has anyone been sucsesful just connecting the amp to the comp and recording a track, if so could you let me know because I have a few questions? This thing is driving me MAD!!

Thanks Col.

Hmmm, hard to say without knowing your setup. We kind of need to know more about the signal path. For instance, is it something like this?:

Mustang USB -> Computer -> Ableton -> Soundcard Headphone Out

or this?:

Mustang USB -> Computer -> Ableton -> Soundcard Line Out -> Mustang AUX In -> Mustang Headphone Out

If it's the second, turn off monitoring on the track you are recording to in Ableton because you are creating a feedback loop. You'll be able to monitor what your playing on the guitar through the amp so you don't need to send that audio track back to the amp.

If it's the first example or something different explain it.
