FENDER WHERE IS THE 4 BUTTON SWITCH I PAID FOR.??????( for my Mustang III)
#1 YOU MAKE THEM
#2 YOU SELL THEM
#3 YOU HAVE THEM IN STOCK
#4 I PAID FOR IT.
#5 YOU WON'T COMMENT ABOUT THIS OR GIVE AN ANSWER..

WHY???....IT'S VERY SIMPLE....JUST STATE THE REASONING BEHIND THIS DECISION TO NOT SERVICE YOUR CUSTOMERS.....
if it make any sense at all I buy it. but logic dictates , it is just laziness.

If you paid for it already than it is the retailer you should be complaining to, NOT Fender. No respectable retailer should charge you for an item they don't actually have in stock.

I ordered mine from Musician's Friend and they have not and will not charge me for it until it ships. I have gotten several status updates from them but as of now it is still on backorder.

More than likely all the production of 4 button switches are going to the Mustang IV and V since they actually come with it. They may not actually have any extras yet for those of us with the Mustang III who want to purchase them. I seriously doubt they are just holding them back to spite you ;)

It is frustrating but again, you can't blame Fender because the retailer made you pay for something they didn't actually have...

I would imagine that the Fender personnel who frequent this forum are involved with technical issues/research and development and are oblivious to most product availability and distribution issues.

There's that and the fact that you usually attract more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. So, getting some one to help you with something that is out of their normal scope and not in their job description by ranting a railing would seem to me to be unlikely to receive any positive results...

I got my Mustang II during Musicians Friend's promotion where a coupon was given to send for a free foot switch with purchase - and I sent that over a month ago and still have not received it. This doesn't surprise me in the least since I am only one in many, many thousands to be processed. I figure, it may take as long as another month or so before they get to me due to the overwhelming popularity of the product.

I know that getting all antcy about it will do nothing but raise my blood pressure and waste time I could spend being more productive - but that's just me.

If you really want a more immediate answer, I would suggest contacting someone at Fender by phone or eMail that deals with product availability and distribution issues - instead of expecting answers from tech support.

I'm agree with you ! I saw the 4 button switches before buying my Mustang. My retailer take my reservation (my name and phone number) for free to advertise me when it will be available and in stock !
Jmb I hope you can write to your retailer to get compromise ! :?

If you're so desperate for it, just get the G-DEC 3 30's 4-button. It's the same thing.

You could just return the III and get the IV. That way you will have the four button switch now. But, then you will have to wait for the two button switch....

Have you actually paid for it - like money out of your account? If you ordered it on-line or pre-ordered it you legally should not have been charged.
For better or worse Fender does handle most of this via their dealers for sales and such - repairs and parts, once you own it, usually are handled better.

If you have actually paid for the item, and it is a Fender registered dealer (not "grey-market") you could send a registered letter, to Fender, explaining that you feel that one of their representative companies had mistreated you. They implied they had stock, actually took payment/charge your account, but have not delivered the item.

If you used a credit card - dispute the charge for non-delivery.

And dude, you have got to get a grip. Yelling on-line or on the phone gets you the same treatment - bottom of the stack, hang-up, or being ignored. Realize that for $60 bucks, Fender isn't going to loose sleep over it.

Thanks to everyone who's already responded to this. As with most inquiries of this nature it's generally never the case that Fender won't discuss the issue but generally amounts to the consumer either using incorrect avenues. All of that has already been spoken to pretty effectively above by those who responded so I'm going ahead and locking this.
