:D All I can say is WOW! I just rocked out for the last hour or so...just goofing around with a few amp and reverb settings and I have to say I'm surprisingly impressed. I was nervous... I've avoided modeling amps like the plague. With some tweaking, it was pretty ease to nail some great tones with this thing! The 57 Deluxe and 65 Reverb amp models are my favs so far...as are the 63 & 65 reverbs. For what I usually play, these settings alone were worth getting the amp.

I'm sure the longer I spend with it the more "favorites" I'll find but just wanted to share with everyone how quickly you can un-box, plug in, and with a little tweaking here and there, be finding the goods! Well done Fender... assuming it holds up over time, this thing is a winner all the way around. Cheers.

I had the same experience this week too.
Even more amazing when you get FUSE connected and can sit here and audition the presets others have made!
I have saved a couple already and love the tones I can get from the III.

Fantastic product that is more than I expected after getting it home from the noisy store environment I tried it in.
At first I thought the clean presets were a bit muddy but a few tweaks with the gain/ vol and guitar settings and I was grinning

Thanks Fender, what a fun product.

They also spent time on the phone with my software questions and it also sounds like they are very close to a new firmware tweak soon too. Good customer support.

Just got finished playing round 2... what a blast! (I meant to say the 65 Deluxe Reverb in my first post when mentioning my favorite amp models) I still need to rig up my loop station so I can really go nuts but haven't gotten that far yet....I'm still goofing around with the amp models and exploring some of the effects. Most of the presets are stuff I probably won't use but it was still worth purchasing just for the amp models... they're all pretty flexible and sound good to my ears.

Unfortunately, I'm running an older Mac (that can only run 10.4) so the firmware updates and Fuse software are a no-go for me right now. Perhaps I can coax my girlfriend into letting me load it onto her laptop one of these days... of course then I'll have to come clean with my new purchase. (She left for work this morning and ten minutes later I left for Guitar Center :D) The Mustang is hanging out in the same space my Frontman used to live... unless my room smells like new amp, she's likely not to notice. Plus, I'm cooking dinner tonight so I hope to have the house smelling like home cookin' to cover up the fresh out of the box smell before she ever gets home.

Likewise, I have found the preset gain levels on the Fender amp models a but high for me (and the treble in many cases as well...and I've found they benefit from the addition of some bass) but it's been super easy to dial it in. Perhaps some of it is that I've been mainly playing on a TRRI which has bass enough to blow the windows out... I've gotten used to it and so a single 12 inch speaker seems a bit thin in comparison. Anyhow... I think it's time for round 3... i haven't been so jazzed on a new piece of gear in a long time!

Now aren't you glad you didn't buy that speaker and reverb pedal for the FM65!

The very notion is ludicrous! Just wrapped up another go round...tried a few of my other guitars out, the Cort (ES-335 copy) and my Gibson, and again, WOW! The L6-S through a slightly tweaked champ setting was unreal... I'll be the first to admit that the Mustang t'aint no twin reverb, but I've been playing through a twin for so long I forgot what other "nice" amps sounded like...(sorry, the FM65 doesn't count... that thing sounded like $@!) Yeah, maybe the Mustang doesn't sound exactly like a tube amp or whatever preset amp you have it set to, but it still sounds pretty darn good... good enough for me to let the tubes in my twin cool for a while.

So I have a question... it's been so long since I've used an effects loop that I'm a bit confused. I plugged my looper into the input (no FX loop) and when I changed effects it changed my loop as well (Duh? What elese might have I expected...) Now, if I use the FX loop, will my loop stay the same and then I can change effects and add a different flavored loop? Guess I could always just hook it up and find out but need to get cracking on dinner to kill the new amp smell in the house. :)

I've had mine for over a month now and I am still finding new features and sounds that I love.

I am a person who loves:
blues: Jimi blues, Kenny Wayne Shepherd etc.
Classic and Southern Rock: Govt Mule, Led Zeppelin, Jimi
Hard Rock: King's X, Stone Temple Pilots
Alt: Soundgarden

I have found very pleasing and interesting sounds/tones to play all of those styles and bands, and created a ton of my own.

I am absolutely loving the Supersonic Tones right now. The "basic supersonic" is only OK to me, but tweaking that amp model and playing around with it actually gets great sounds for almost any style. The Supersonic Burn tone #49 is my absolute favorite preset on the amp to play through.

Since I bought this amp, I haven't had one desire to mess with any other amps. (except I am excited to play through a Supersonic in the store to see if it is a similar experience.) I'm actually also selling a couple of my guitars because now I am getting tones with just my simple strat that I needed and assortment of pedals and guitars to achieve with my tube amp.

I can't remember ANY time when I purchased a guitar or amp and was more excited about it a month later than when I first purchased it. My best testimony to this amp is that it has caused me to play and practice my guitar more than I ever have in my life. It's more fun than I have ever had with a guitar in my life.
