This describes the very same issue I found out with my Mustang III bought yesterday. At the end of each chord or single tone (best noticable with low e or a) when the tone fades away, there is a noticable fuzzy sound in the background. I tried everything, even turned of/on the noise limiter. Doesn't help. It's on all simulated amps, even the basic tones (without any fx).
Please Fender, confirm this and explain if this is normal or something that needs to be fixed. Either way is fine as long as I know it is not due to the early series.
Regards, MustangMan

Guys, are you able to record mentioned issue (by microphone, line out, USB) and paste as audio sample here?

it is known issue, Loren from Fender said they are working on it.
you can see everything in this thread: http://www.fender.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=49789
there's a few audio clips in there, too.

...now we have to wait. Not for long I hope.

Maybe a bad amp. If you upload a sample other people could tell if they have the same problem or not.

What pickups are you using, BTW?

I have a hunch you're hearing the artifact described in the Obnoxious Tail End Distortion thread ... but it would be worth while for you to post a sound clip for us to hear.

The term Obnoxious Tail End Distortion is not really a completely accurate description ... because you can hear the distortion on all strings ... and not just at the tail end of a note. On some models (presets) you can hear it in the background as soon as you strike the note. Fender is workin' on it.

@amarura

Ditch the attitude pal if you want to get help ...

The link provided by denisk IS the Obnoxious Tail End Distortion thread and I HAVE read that thread as well as posted in it. The sound files in that thread DO exhibit the distortion YOU seem to be describing in your initial post. The distortion IS NOT ONLY at the tail end of a note ... that was MERELY how it was INITIALLY described. The distortion IS on all strings and IS often noticeable the moment a note is struck AS WELL AS during note decay. As YOU stated it DOES sound fizzy (fuzzy) and DOES prevent a completely clean tone. It CAN be subtle OR more obvious on some amp settings and guitars. IF you're problem is more severe than the referenced sound files indicate YOU should take the time to post a sound file so we can hear what you're talking about and YOU should contact Fender.

And while you're cleaning up your attitude ... get a spell checker.

Sorry, I've read the mentioned thread after my post. And Yes, it is exactly like what you hear in the posted clips (noticable tail end fuzz/buzz). Good to know Fender is picking up on that. Downloaded the latest firmware v1.5 and it is still there. Hope the firmware with the fix is still on it's way. But even so, I love this amp (second day after I unpacked it). Greetz, Jazzman
