Hello.....
Old guy new to playing guitar........use to play bass in the 60's.....very badly.
I bought a old beat up Epiphone Special II and the Mustang II.

Question: Can I play a bass guitar through my Mustang II for just low volume practice?
Fender of course says to use a bass amp only.

Thanks aLinux...............Rats! In the old days I didn't care about frying something, but today you have to be a electronics engineer just to repair a circut.
Guess I'll just wait for Fender to come out with a modeling bass amp.
Thanks again for the feedback aLinux.

It's very unlikely to do any damage unless you crank it. And if it does, it'll only break the speaker which is easy enough to replace.

Hi E.M.,

Thanks for the reply.............From all the help I've gotten here and emails from others, what you're saying is spot on. Talkin to a bass player in Texas that plays through a Mustang I and mics into a crown to a 18" sub with a horn and crossover. He says he never plays his Mustang I over 3 on volume, but cranks his crown. Claims it's the very best sound he's ever got and it's like he's got a wall of Ampeg's behind him. Go figure!

Thanks again E. M.
Bojack
