So I'm trying to record my guitar sound from my Mustang 1 into Sonar 8, and I can get it to record but when I try to play it back I hear no sound at all. I have the Fender ASIO drivers but in Sonar's audio tab the drivers are there but greyed out. My guitar is recording, I can see that it's there, but it just won't play back! I have my spdif going out to my tv and I'm trying to simultaneously use the speaker out (going into my amp) to monitor what I'm playing. When I play I can hear it in my headphones but I just can't play it back. I don't know if I just can't do this or what but it's giving me hell =(

I can;t help with sonar but Audacity (Beta)works with Mustang amps and it doesn;t require an ASIO driver for recording ... and another one that does use ASIO is here

I had no problem with Sonar Home Studio 6 recording from my Mustang IV...its Pro-Tools that I cannot make work. In order to record in PT I have to connect to the right FX send into the guitar jack of my fast track...that works like a charm.

Anyway, check the bit rate that shows in the control panel for your sound card or sound device. I believe mine has to be at 16 bit in order to hear the recording via the Fender ASIO driver.
