Totally new to electric guitar here - I've only used an acoustic for a few years up till now. I picked up a Mustang 1.

I'm just wondering what these amp are:

British 80
American 90
Metal 2000

Do they model something specific? It was easy for me to visually identify British 60's but I can't tell from the sound or look in fuse what the others generically named ones are..(again, total newb) I've heard 90's is mesa-boogie? 80's Marshall? I know it doesn't really matter in the end, they sound like they sound, I'm just curious to know which amps the system is trying to model.

Thanks for any help

Thanks guys - appreciate your help.

it can be a little overwhelming with knobs on the guitar, knobs on the amp, knobs on the effects, switches on the strat -

As a newcomer to electric, I find the Mustang + Fuse pretty darn useful for learning about different sounds and how they are made without having to spend a bundle on equipment.

The 90s doesn't seem high gain enough to be a Dual Rec. Maybe not the Dual Rec's higher gain channel? It actually has pretty good cleans.

The Peavey on the other hand is totally over the top with gain.
