It sounds great, bizarrely, with the in built speaker - whereas with many of the other amp models, it's the opposite problem.

At first I wanted the speaker to sound more like USB, but now I'm thinking the other way around in some cases(a middle ground may be ideal, except with British 80s).

I really think some tweaking needs to be done with the cabs. Since British 80s sounds bad, the obvious choice would be British 70s - whose 4x12 Greenbacks cab sounds pretty awful in it's own way, too washed out and upper mid heavy.

Can Fender please fix some of the voicings on these cab models, and get the sound more consistent between speaker and line?

Replace the Greenbacks w/ EVM's then :) noo ..but what do you mean .."sounds better through USB" how can you get any sound through the little usb jack thingy ..or do you mean headphone jack ->to actual Headphones ?

I mean using the USB to record.

I got a decent sound through my Koss Portapros when I turned the volume up enough on the British 80s, but headphones aren't exactly FRFR like my monitors are meant to be.

Its just cause the position of the MII speaker ..its not wrapped around our ears ...thats why headphones sound basically the same as the USB recording .. I think if we haa two MII Amps against each ear on the correct volume it would sound exactly like wearing headphones or how it sounds recorded thru the USB input. I use an Amp stand ALL-THE-TIME when I play .. I need my Amps pointed at my face in order to feeel the groove .. If I place the Amp on the floor non tilted upwards ..I can't get into it barely.

I might grab a pair of those Koss phones .. I seen those so many times now ..i love Koss

It wouldn't sound anything like the same. The EQ of the cab models is obviously very different through line than through the speaker.
