I just picked up a Mustang IV and after a few days of jammin through it, all I can say is WOW! Fender really did a great job on their models. The dirty amp sounds are thick and rich while the cleans are phenomenal! They are much more life like then other modelers. They have that great shimmer or sparkle that you come to expect from the great Fender amps. Also....this monster is loud! It'll be no problem gigging with it.

I've been so caught up in the great sounds of the amp that I haven't really started playing with the Fuse software much.....I'm really looking forward to gettin my tweak on though!

The amp itself and the interface rocks too. I was jammin a little last night with my iphone plugged in, my headphones plugged in and the Mustang USB'd into my PC and I thought to myself.......dang it's a great time to be a guitarist.

I wound up getting a killer deal from GC.....they had a $100 coupon for items $499 and up. So I got this bad boy for $399! Now I just have to grab the two-button footswitch.....

great job Fender! 8)

From what I've seen and read, I think the IV is the real "sweet spot" in this line of amps. All the videos from the Fender NAMM booth showing off the Mustang line seem to feature the IV - and I think for good reason. Even though the III is pretty sweet, it's hard to pass up a stereo amp in terms of tone and tone possibilities. Anyone who has sat in front of a Roland JC120 for a few minutes will know what I mean - it's just a wholly different experience compared to a "mono" guitar amp.

That said, even without any stereo effects engaged, I'm sure the 2x12 config of the IV fattens things up nicely.

I've got a Mustang V on order, so I'm looking forward to some of the tone your current experiencing... good post. Have fun with your new amp. ah, the joys of a new amp! :)

I have used a Line6 pod x3 to run into two 212 Fender Blues Devilles.

Vox on the Left, Budda on the Right.
Or Orange Rt, Cornford Lt.
Or Hiwatt Rt, Deluxe Lt..............oh, you get the idea.

Stereo rules!

That's for sure ... and I ddin't know how much it meant until I blew the right speaker i a 212 stereo chorus I once had .. had to get that bad-boy replaced right away to appreciate what I was missing. With these Mustangs having Vibratone, Digital Delay, etc ..tons of effects ..I can just imagine how f'n good the release will be in a jam situation. I just wish I was 10 yrs old again !!! lol

Hey greed2000, you mentioned you haven't used the FUSE software that much yet. Get connected and place the overdrive AFTER the amp with the '59 Bassman model. You can get some amazing SRV tones!
