I'm not quite sure if its my preset, amp or guitar but when I created this preset:
https://fuse.fender.com/preset.php/saintzer0-megadeth

It was fine but now....half the time I try to use it I get nothing but static? Sometimes its fine, sometimes its ear-busting static noise? Anyone have any idea why?

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. The "Patch" won't change (see below). First try a different guitar chord and/or wiggle it around to make sure you have secure connections. It could be in the female 1/4 phono jack on your guitar so that would happen no matter what chord you use.

If it's not the chord or jack then you have a problem with the amp and/or speaker. Generally, speakers either work or don't (well they work but sound bad!). Since this in intermettent it leads one to surmise that it is either a loose connection or a "cold solder" on the PC board. Both better left to an amp tech.

If it ONLY happens on this patch then I would turn everything within this patch you can turn off - off. Start with just the Amp no cab Then one at a time turn an item on i.e. rev, then comp then delay. Play for a while after truning each item on. Don't turn it on, hit a chord and then move on. This is intermettent so you have to give each item a chance to "turn bad". This may turn up the cause. Then you can move on from there to determin if it is a setting for firmware issue.

Good luck, Bo

does it happen only with this preset or any other hi-gain preset ? (i assume this is some kinda hi-gain preset judging from name)
maybe interference from PC or some other electrical device near your amp and/or guitar? this interference gets much worse as you crank up gain.
