bluesdelux - did you get a "Sunshine of your Love" kind of tone? As I said before the smoother blues tones aren't my thing, but I love those old vintage fuzzy tones.

Electric Mistress-Not quite. It's more like "All Your Lovin" or maybe "Crossroads." It's not so prominant in the octave, and the fuzz isn't as strong. It's a medium overdrive using the fuzz pedal with some reverb. With my LP in the bridge position and headphones, I love it. I can't crank it up using the speaker since I live in a townhouse though. My preset is called "Cream Fuzz-All Your Lovin." Give it a try. Hope you like it. Make adjustments to it to suit your tastes and let me know and I'll give yours a try.

Thanks - I'll check it out next time I power the amp on.

I've also made a "Stoner Rock" setting if anyone wants it I'll upload it.

It sounds horrible, I love it!

I'm thinking of working on an Andy Summers patch. I have an actual Mistress though so I'd prefer to use that!

Also, the UK 60s is getting better every time I turn it on. It's still fizzy with Humbuckers & the gain cranked. Weirdly, turning the Treble up higher rather than lower seems to help. "Treble" on a guitar amp seems to be more like "Upper mids". Personally I wish guitar amps had more full range speakers with a true "treble" control to emulate the speaker roundoff. I like to get some nasty fuzz tones but running them direct tends to sound weak and overly fizzy, you need something in between direct and not direct.

Anyway, here's the UK60s clip.

I love this amp! Also, I've learned my lesson DON'T USE JUST A CONDENSER FOR MICING. I have a Condenser, not a top level one but a fairly decent Audio Technica model. It's great for voice, but I've just realised it's why most of my recordings of my amps sound awful. I tried my old Audix Dynamic, and it's fantastic! Even though it's a much cheaper amp. Not quite an SM57 but close. You can hear it in the Uk60s, but I had it thrown over the grill so it ended up spinning off center a bit too much, didn't quite capture the clarity, sounds more like it does over USB just with less bass.

Having trouble uploading presets, I'm logged in but it doesn't give me the option to upload when I right click.

I love the 57 Deluxe. Nice for blues. Or any thing else I can throw at it. :D as for the latency, you need to download the fender aiso driver. For the best sound in FUSE I use the 57 Deluxe speaker with the Twin Reverb amp. And I run a MIM standard tele through it. I can get hum tones with that guitar if its set. :D

I've got a newer Stereo EH Electric Mistress - man that thing is the bomb! :) I wish it had stereo ins/outs like my Hardwire Chorus (instead of just stereo outs), but I still love it - nothing sounds like it.

I'd love to hear your Summers patch if you get it going - Andy had some of the best clean chorused guitar tones I've ever heard, i.e, "Walking on the Moon" is the standard IMHO

The speaker still sounds a little iffy for me on some settings. Still quite a bit of fizz, but definitely an improvement. That weird "airy" quality is still there though. I'd like to see if the Mustang III still has it, we'll see.

Hi folks, my Mustang II is arriving tomorrow! On researching the amp i read somewhere that if your UK 60's preset has too much fizz/fuzz, apparently it helps a great deal if you switch off the compressor setting for the preset in Fuse.

Re: Fizz, tail end distortion, note decay distortion, distortion on bass strings ... and the many other descriptions given by Mustang owners

Nothing ... NOTHING ... NO-THING ... you can change in FUSE will get rid of it. You can reduce it slightly by tweaking settings but it will always be there and it will always be an aggravation if you don't like to hear it. Fender needs to get on the stick and stop ignoring this problem.

Are these on the Mustang III too?

To be fair some of the firmware updates have helped things quite a bit.

IMO ... the "fizz" problem has not diminished as a result of any of the firmware or FUSE updates ... I've tried them all.

BTW ... I have the Mustang II ... I dunno first hand how the other models behave ... I only know what I've read.

I think you got a bad amp, or this is just not the amp for you. Mine sounds fine. Some presets do fiz, but I never use them so I dont have this problem. It maters what you play musicly. :)

@super kid said "Mine sounds fine. Some presets do fizz, but I never use them so I don't have this problem."

Based on your own words ... your amp has the fizz problem ... and you aren't getting full use of your amp because you have chosen not to use presets where you can perceive the fizz. So ... your amp DOESN'T sound fine ... it fizzes!

I don't understand why some people say their amp fizzes yet are so reluctant to criticize the amp.

If I have a bad amp ... then a lot of other people who post here also do.

To give Fender a little leeway ... about 2 weeks ago they sent me an email back channel saying they were looking into the problem. But OTOH this problem has been reported here by several owners since 12/2010 ... and as far as I know ... Fender HAS NOT acknowledged in this forum that they have recognized that owners are having this problem ... and it's the MOST reported problem with the Mustang.

In fairness, it is a very cheap amp that does a lot and has some great sounds. I'm disappointed with how some of the cab models don't match up between speaker and USB at all, but I'm finding it doesn't necessarily "fizz" all that much if you treat it right. For example, cranking the volume on the Vox model makes it a lot less fizzy for distorted tones. Of course, this is annoying as it's much louder than other models this way. Perhaps turning up the master smooths it up too so live use might not be that big an issue.

I wouldn't get too angry at Fender for not fixing it, but it's a case of coming so far with giving you amazing tones for a cheap price and refusing to do a little more tweaking that could make it a winner.
