I just got the Mustang III (Still keeping my Mustang II) and I love the sound of the Bassman with the Overdrive placed AFTER the amp. Other than viewing the amp settings in FUSE, there doesn't seem to be a way to tell if the stomp OD is pre or post. I have placed it Post and the amp still shows it as Stomp. I want to be able to designate it post without having to open FUSE. Great amp!

Doesn't it look/work exactly the same in FUSE as the MII and how did you make it pre or post originally ? ..within FUSE ?? ...or are you trying to do it with the LCD ??

I thought ALL the Stomp effects were PRE (before the Amp) and ALL the Rack effects were POST (after the Amp) .. I might be wrong ..or do you mean your trying to figure out how to make a pedal move over to POST (after the Amp) within the LCD ? .. either way .. I probably cant help much....but cool you got a new Mustang III !!!! :) I'm still learning :)

On the LCD and the buttons on the M III, there are no buttons labeled Rack so when you add the OD post gain (i.e., rack) after the amp in FUSE, then it appears as a stomp on the LCD. There doesnt seem to be any way of knowing outside of FUSE whether the OD is a stomp/pre or a rack/post.

If you have not experimented with the Bassman model with the post amp rack OD, you are missing one of the best sounds found in the Mustang series (I, II, III+).

I got lucky enough to see a Mustang III in stock at a Michigan store on gc.com and had my home store ship it here. I will post some pics soon.

@JipThePeople I know what you're talking about with the pre/post placement of the effects, but from what I could tell in the advanced manual, you can only change the placement from within Fuse. But you can view the signal patch on the LCD on the amp. Just turn the wheel to the preset you want to look at and then push the wheel down twice (first push shows the amp settings, second push shows the signal path).

Hope that helps!

I see .. so Fuse is just barely needed (O: I think I use use three presets programmed to my AMBER bank that utilize POST GAiN... Robben Ford OD, CM SRV OD ..and a new one I found ..has some killer Hendrix-like over-driven feel to it .. MEga Fuzz Blues.

Cool take pics of the speaker part ..like to see it. nize celestion!!! :D

Thx Doug. At least I can determine if the OD is pre or post using your method.
