That was an incredible deal. You're lucky, I paid $220 for an MII - but I don't complain

Tell us how it sounds. Did you have an MII before, if so, how much *better* does the MIII sound. Thanks.

Great deal. Post a review when you get a chance. We'd all love to hear what you think.

aLinux, before i bought my mustang I my uncle bought the mustang II and he brought it to my house so i could try it out but it did not sound so good to me,it sounded way under powered for a 40w amp(my vypyr 30 was 3 to 4 times louder!) and on the metal 2000 and some other models the mustangs speaker bottomed out at higher volume levels,i told him he might have a bad speaker and should exchange it for another one but on the clean amp models it sounded pretty good at higher volume levels and did not bottom out but the low e on my guitar sounded dull and flat,i have no problems like this with my mustang I and it sounds better then his mustang II, even when his speaker does not bottom out at lower volumes, did you compare your mustang II to any other amps before you bought it?how would you say your mustang II sounds overall?does your mustang II's speaker also bottom out or fart out at higher volume levels?

I should of tried the M1 ..but never did .. umm ..the MustangII clipper sound.... lol .. its OK .. it doesn't bother me since I play it low volume...and its probably the speakers being NOT worked in ..or its DSP clipping ..i dunno ..I heard it at first when I bought the
Amp ...even at low volume on clean when i really did some Stevie Ray stuff ..but l8ly its gone ..or the Firmware or speakers loosening up ... I know what you mean tho. I have
a pedal here called a Tec4x and it clips too ... uses a DSP chip as well... but i already
knew about it ..I just love the Mustang regardless ..and the new-line is only getting better. Yeah, true...the 40w doesn't compare to my 15w Tube Amp even volume wise... but I don't mind and am glad its so quiet at low/high volumes compared to the noisy rackety Tube Amp.

He could have a bad speaker ..its pretty normal for speakers to sometimes be bad after purchase .. these being a lot cheaper than other Amps ..they may not check out the components like they would with a Fender Vibro King or something. If you search google you'll find many people who purchased Eminence, Jensen etc .. had to return there speakers because they weren't good ones...but the replacements always fixed the problem.

Sounds like you got a perfect M one though ..enjoy!
