Is there anyway to completely turn off the preset function and go straight to the regular amp?

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking, but I don't think there's any concept of just the "regular amp" on the Mustang. You are always going to have be using a preset and one of the modeled amps. Or do you mean just the amp models without any effects? I would check out the presets numbered 88-99 (on the Mustang III), they are the 12 amp models with no effects turned on. Those are what I'm using as a starting point to get a feel for what the different amps sound like.

Hope that helps.

dougfloyd is right, there is no "regular" amp. if you want something clean and with no effects use FUSE or choose one of the presets on the amp that has a modeled amp you like and turn the mod knob so it activates and then turn it to off position. do the same with the dly/rev knob and it will not have any effects.

this is assuming you have a mustang I or II, if you have a higher # mustang try what dougfloyd mentioned.

Find a preset you like described as Clean, try them or turn down the gain or drive on it.

The AUX jack is unaffected by the presets. You would need a preamp into it to control tone and volume.

I asked about this here: https://www.fender.com/community/forums ... hp?t=48999

It might work on the III by going in through the FX return (no idea if it's really so), but there might still be power amp modeling after the FX loop.

Either way it would be nice if Fender added it to the I and II as an option through the software or with a firmware update.
