There seem to be hints in the docs that the individual saved settings (presets) on the Mod and Delay knobs might be editable, but I don't see any such procedure. Comment?

Yeah I was trying that too but it didn't work like I read it. It might work now since I updated the Firmware ..but I haven't tried. The [Tap] slow/fast always worked
but holding I think it was [Exit] while turning the (mod) or (reverb) didn't increase or decrease whatever effect I was using. Less i was reading manual wrong, which is most likely.. cuz i never was good at following directions or even reading them for that matter.

Well, actually, holding down Exit and rotating one of those knobs adjusts the level of the effect just fine for me.

But what I was wondering was whether, for example, you could change Delay A1, which is described as 150ms / 1 Repeat, to 200ms and 2 repeats, then save it back to A1.

The full Mustang manual says, "You can completely change the effects list on your
Mustang™ amplifier using Fender® FUSE™ software
available at www.fender.com/support.

That makes it sound distinct from preset editing, but maybe not.

Its working on mine now too ..maybe it was before but I didn't notice. ..and umm ..not sure ..i'm no pro with that stuff ..but they are supposed to be working on keyboard combnations so we can set the levels exactly ...cause its impossible with the mouse to get back to say 50.0 ..maybe the did with the new Fuse just released but I haven't tried that neither yet.

Hey Guys,

You can edit existing effects combinations using Fender FUSE. Simply click on the Combo Effects knob in Fender FUSE and select Edit Effects in the corner of the window. You'll have to save over an existing slot. This allows you to create your own effects combinations.

Sorry, I see no Combo Effects knob nor an Edit Effects button.

I can go to Effects Configuration and select either the Mod or Dly knob, and I can make changes to the plugins for a given slot, but I can't see any way to save those changes back to the amp. Or were your instructions just re playing while connected to the computer? (I have the newest Fuse on Windows 7.)

Actually, small correction. I have been playing peek-a-boo with the Save Effects button. It sometimes appears when I open a new preset, but then goes away as soon as I change one of the pedals. Once it offered to let me save to a Delay slot, but it was the Mod position I was trying to edit. Very curious.

I think Loren is referring to his G-DEC Fuse panel or (Effect Configuration) nob's in the middle top position..and I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do myself. I can click on any effect pedal or rack effect and get deeper editing then I can click (save) on the Amp itself to save over top of a preset..if that's what you're meaning you cannot do??? or just right-click within [Media Library] + (Amp) to save to any slot.. .. but ...I thought originally.. you were saying you couldn't change from 150ms to say 200ms and save it which I find almost impossible to do with ....since my mouse moves out of focus 0.04% on me ...less I get lucky sometimes.

Apologies if I was unclear. The question is, can we replace settings in the effects slots (on the Mod and Dly knobs) the same way we can replace presets?

I now know that the answer is yes. But I think there is some bugginess (a) in when the Save Effects button is enabled, and (b) as to which knob menu is displayed when one goes to save. I'll go back to it today to try to nail down a repeatable sequence of events.

Any other users out there who have messed with this?

P.S. I've said this before, but I have this urge to keep saying it: The Mustang/Fuse combo is awesome. The value is through the roof. Other than iPad, best toy I've bought in years. :D

Are you clicking on one of the effects to edit or are you editing the smaller icon in amp mode.
If you click on one of the effects to bring it up instead of having the amp showing, you should see the "Save Effects" button on the right where "Advanced Amp" was. Edit the effects to your liking. Click "Save Effects" to choose one of the slots to replace the existing effect.
Hope this helps.

I don't see the option to attach pic! In the "Preset Editor", click to add the effect(s) you want, either pre or post amp. Once the effect(s) is in the chain, click on an effect. It will show up where the amp model was and the "Advanced Amp" button turns to "Save Effects". Clicking here gives the choice of which slot on the amp to save to.

I think I've just about figured out my problems. I mean, the ones with the amp.

If you just want to alter the settings on existing effects, you can click on the Mod or Dly knob in Fuse, then select the pedal or post-gain effects unit, twiddle the knobs, and click Save Effects. Then you have to choose a slot (A1 thru D3) and give it a new name and save it. That will change that position in the amp, just like Loren said. (Note that it doesn't pre-fill the position you called up to edit.)

However, I was trying to replace the tremolo effect on Mod position B2 with a wah pedal. As soon as I deleted the post-gain tremolo unit, the Save Effects option disappeared, and it did not come back after I added the pedal on the left. It finally dawned on me that I could just power off the tremolo unit, then add the wah pedal, and I'd still be able to save the effect.

Does that make sense, aLinux?

Sorry if I was dense, but I hope this helps someone.

P.S. Thanks, smlaws.

It appears that only modulation, delay, and reverb effects are saved to the amp. Stompboxes and Post Gain do not have the "Save Effects" option. Sorry for the confusion. I hadn't tried to save either of these 2 to the amp.
