So now, after I bought a Mustang II, here comes the amp that I really want - the darned Mustang III! Crap! Better speaker, more effects, more power (if needed) If they had come out with the full line all at once, I would have purchased a Mustang III and been completely set. The II is a nice amp with the Fuse software, but the III looks to be what I was waiting for - darnit!

Not always lol . Fender made history w/ 60's Blackface - but later released 70's Silverface based on same design ..but ....u know..

The MI/II's are the Blackface of 2010 - Will the MIII's sound like a Silverface of 2011 ..my mind works funny .................. lol (j/k) I'm being fictitous sort'ov :)
Yeah, ur prolly rite :D

The mustang2 are still a hot ticket item. I bet you could easily put yours up for sale for $20 less than retail, and sell it fast. If its a recent purchase, you may be able to return it for a 10% restocking fee. (again about $20)

It would be a small loss, but you would get your MIII. Its all about how bad you want it.

I hear ya, bud...its happened to me before. On a different note, I bought a Mustang I back in September, instead of the II, because I figured it was just for goofing around when I couldn't crank up my tube amps. I'm even planning on keeping a guitar and the Mustang I at the office for goofing around during lunch hour. Now that I found out how much fun it is, the II would be great for jamming with a band, and the III, even better. I am chomping at the bit to get a Mustang II, but I have to hold my breath until the III is released in stores. These amps are COOL! I never thought such a low priced amp could be so much fun. I find myself singing its praises in every guitar forum I go in.

GC advertises 15% off when you trade your gear for new gear. That's what I did with my Pro Jr to get my M2. Straight trade in that case. They might make you a good deal since they know they can sell the M2 right quick.
