Hi all,

New to the forum and have just purchased a Mustang 1 amp. I've had a good look around the fuse software, but cannot see any way to preview/listen to a preset from the Fender website before adding it on to the amp. Is there a way to do this so that I can ensure I like the presets first?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Welcome to the forum. Not at this time, but you can listen to backing tracks before grabbing them. Good luck.

Thanks alinux, I'll check them out. Shame about the presets so I'll go by the ratings instead :)

I don't know if this works with the Mustangs, but it does with the G-DEC 3s.

With your amp plugged into your computer, load a preset that you've downloaded into FUSE. It should temporarily change the settings in your amp so you can preview the tone. If you like it, then you can save it. That is, if it works like the G-DEC 3 does in FUSE. :)

Yes that does work, however it does still save it to your PC.
Then if you dont like it, you have to delete it after....not a big deal really.

But you are right, it doesnt save to the amp perminantly, its gone from the amp as soon as you cange preset channels or power it off.

The files are small and shouldn't take up too much room on your hard drive. That way, you don't have to download them again, if you change your mind. 8)

Thanks bclarke675, I have only just seen your reply so will give that a go later and see how I get on. I don't mind them saving to the mac, easily deleted. Just didn't really want to have to save them to the amp and then undo it from there if there weren't particularly good.
