Anyone heard a street date yet on these new Mustang amps? Wondering when Guitar Center will have them.

Somebody at the gear page gave this link stating that they have the MIII in stock there - http://www.mcknightguitarco.com/index.php

Wouldn't believe anyone who says they have them in stock.

More than likely they are happy to take your money now and will ship the AMP when they get it :)

Could you please provide more reason why you think this to be true? Are you saying that the McKnight Guitar CO is lying? Did you look at the site? They clearly state the MIV and MV are expected in the next 30 days but they have 4 MIII's in stock.

Didn't say they were lying... You can put anything on a website, that doesn't make it so.

Doesn't make any sense for a small obscure shop to have 4 when you can't find them at ANY of the large retailers...

Not trying to convince anyone one way or the other. I chose not to believe it...

UPDATE: Just called them and asked about placing an order for the Mustang III and even though their website says they have 4 in stock, they just told me they don't actually have any "in stock" but that they have shipped from Fender. Big difference between them telling me they just shipped from Fender and their website claiming they have 4 in stock.

More than likely the number reflects how many they have on order from Fender and NOT how many they actually have...

Yeah, I called them too and they are expecting them tomorrow or Monday. They said they have the tracking number and they are in fact shipped.

Don't be so sure about the small shops not getting stuff first. I've seen it happen several times with new Fender stuff before.

Interesting. They've changed their home page to say this now "We have 4 Mustang III Amps Due in Friday the 7th 4 more will come in next week.", so that's now eight.

When I called, the lady said they started getting a lot of calls and that they were not expecting this kind of response. She sounded a bit flustered.

Looking to get the Mustang III myself. My daughter and I each have a Mustang I and will continue to use them for our lessons as they are easy to drag around. I am looking at the Mustang III to rattle the windows a little more than the Mustang I does ;)

Fender does have more info and pics of the new amps including the control panel with the LCD display up now.

Click the link below and scroll towards the bottom for the III, IV and V specs and images.

Looks like there are also some special editions of the G-Dec3 out now as well.

Click the link below and scroll towards the bottom for the specs and images.
