Good idea, it will sound `BIG and FULL alrite. Plus, Fender says the 1/8" headphone jack (doubles as a speaker-emulated line out) in stereo ...and where can you get a killer cabinet with 4x12 Celestions these days for that price.

It would be nice if Fender would give a 10%-15% discount coupon to current registered owners of the Mustang I and II toward the purchase of the newer Mustangs. Hint. Hint.

Fender really should have moved upscale to a TRS 1/4" stereo line out, or two separate 1/4" output jacks on the MIII and larger amps (or even better, two lo-Z XLR outs!), which are really pro gigging amps, and PA's prefer lo-Z XLRs. Having to go the delicate stereo 1/8" mini phone-to-RCA-to-phone plug converter route is just plain idiotic for a pro player. Worse, having to kluge the conversion like that is far more prone to noise, dropout and breakage.

They built the Mustang III and larger series as serious professional performance amps. They need professional performance I/O.

Yes, they did. Made to gig, made solidly, excellent build quality, loud enough for most venues, good footswitch options, and most importantly, they look great and sound great in any backline.

Serious.

Professional.

Performance.

Amps.

Toob corksniffers be damned.

Wow, awesome news! Thanks for the tip. Their GC warehouses aren't expecting them for over two weeks.

Ah crap, I just lost an hours worth of typing here lol .. [Backspace] acts as a (Back Button) .. Its an easy fix to add the code to the main PHP file to prevent this - wish ALL webmaster would do it. God that drives me nutz how many times it happens to me!!! arrgghh .......... lmao

I'm not retyping ..not that you care anyhow lol

Looks excellent .. the new manual .. I see it has loop effects or whatever tis called for using external pedals ..and the on Amp editing is so far more greater ...I see we can
adjust Bias/Sag and all the tone control and most of the pedals effects to a degree ..Excellent work.. I was hoping since the MIII was 299 most places that the MIV
would only be 100 bucks more ..but I see now its 499 .. still OK ..but it will be a while IF
I grab one ..recouping from Xmas still.

Anyone who has one ..could they please post some Images of it ..The back mostly I'd love to see...and is the LCD really well lit-up in say dark conditions ..like a bar or something like that .. Thanks.

I picked up a Mustang III yesterday, very impressed. I'll see if I can get some pictures uploaded sometime. The back panel has 4 connection jacks on it (FX loop send, FX loop return, 2 button footswitch jack, 4 button footswitch jack). The LCD screen is what sets it apart from the II for me, it makes it so much easier to use. You don't even really have to connect it to a computer. And you can also adjust the contrast of the LCD screen to make it easier to read, I don't you'd have a problem seeing it in the dark.
