Hey peeps.

Does anyone know if there is a place that has information on what individual effects settings do? For example:-

Tape delay in FUSE has settings for level, delay time, feedback, flutter, bright and stereo.

A guide explaining these settings would be extremely useful to someone not familiar with the effects.

I've been playing guitar for about 15 years now but haven't really used much in the way of effects other than 'drive/distortion and my crybaby wah so being confronted with all the great effects available through my new Mustang II and FUSE is a tad daunting :?

I know experimenting with different sounds is all part of the fun but there's a bit of a difference between having an idea of what's going on and blindly stumbling around. Know what I mean? :)

Cheers!

You sound like me. Guitar, Amp and Wah Wah.... until now 8)

Not what you wanted to hear - AFAIK there isin't a central Fender place to read about what-does/what-is what here. Only a suggestion, google is your friend. Its slower, but can help.

Welcome to the forum - congrats. to your new Amp. Oh btw, have you found a good setting (preset) to use with the Wah pedal yet.

Hi aLinux, thanks for the friendly welcome :)

Nevermind, I'll just have to keep googling stuff like you say. Maybe I'll compile the information as I go and make a guide outta what I find and then post it on here for everone else.

I went with my wife to get that amp from the shop at the end of November. I had to carry it from the shop to the car, then from the car up the stairs to our flat. She wrapped it the same day and then I had to spend the next 4 weeks looking at this big gift-wrapped box sitting under the Christmas tree. It's been years since I've been that excited about Christmas day coming around! :D

Nah mate, still playing around with different settings. I used to have things set up like this...

Guitar -> effects pedal -> wah -> amp

obviously now the effects come after the wah and to be honest it sounds a little weak. Like I say, I'm still experimenting. :)

That's what I've found too, both my Wah's sound weak with it...so what you're saying
is the Mustang's go like this than eh Guitar -> wah -> effects pedal -> amp ...explains
why they sound this way but me to ..I only tried it once...there might be a way around it, I hope. I've never used Effect pedals before so I didn't know if they go before or after the wah... makes sense now. Thanks and regardless I love the Amp and sorta fergot
about the Wah pedals l8ly

 Greetings, go to the Boss web site they have a free download called Guitar Effects Guide Book. It gives a great overview of effects then details each of their stompboxes in detail including suggestion on settings. A great guide and good way place to get started. LOL!

Hi Jaybird,

Thanks for the info! :D Just had a look at that effects guide on the Boss site. It'll definitely come in handy.

Got started on a Mustang/FUSE specific guide last night. Only got as far as listing the effects with their individual settings, but hey it's a start! :)

Tell me about it! It was sitting pretty much next to the TV so it's not like I could ignore it either:)
