In regard to getting the amp connected to it, you would go to Settings/Audio Setup and select ASIO as the driver type, and select Mustang as the input device. You will need to use your built-in audio device or other Third Party device to output audio as the Fender Mustang is a one way device.

On a related note, here is something I would love to do: in an ideal setup, I could record into Ableton with my Fender Mustang 1 while monitoring through my audio interface (M-Audio Firewire 410).

The problem that arises is that so far I've only been able to make Ableton accept one or the other at any given time, which means I can't monitor what's already been recorded while recording a new track. This even applies to the metronome. In other words, I haven't seen anyway to set Ableton to have one device as input (the Mustang through USB connection) and another as output (the M-Audio 410).

This is obviously a problem, since I have no form of reference when recording a track! I'm certain there must be a way around this. I know I could simply hook up the guitar through my M-Audio, but my major objective is to go through my Mustang for those brilliant tones!

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hey Jason K, myself and a few others are having a similar or same issue. Here's a post that may help (see below). On a temporary basis, I've got mine to work out using a Boss GS 10 desktop effects processor, its driver and asio. However, I have too many cables running everywhere.
