Hi there,

I'm trying to use my Mustang amp to record with but when I set ableton live up to record from ASIO I cant listen to anything like another previously recorded track or a backing track. In the ASIO Settings where there is a list headed "WDM Device List" it has my audio output listed as "Unavailable!" "In use by another application?" "MS GS Wavesynth Enabled?"

Does anybody know what I can do to listen through my speakers whilst playing along with the amp plugged in recording?

Cheers,

Gareth

Sounds like its telling you whats wrong. Its in use by another application. Check your
icon tray (bottom right) click the arrow as it hides tons of crap ... Exit everything you
think might have to do with your sound-card then try it again. You can also check process manager to see whats got a hold of it.. In vista i right click the bottom panel
and choose Task Manager ... might be different in other windows systems.

Hi GarethJB84,

Were you able to free up that ASIO output device? If not, please feel free to email or call us, and we can do some additional troubleshooting with you. Happy New Year.

Best Regards,
