I give it a YAY. I own a 65 twin reverb reissue, so I have the best of both worlds. The Mustang II gives me something that the twin doesn't. Weight being one of them of course, but the MII allows be to play around with the sound and tone of a couple different amps, experiment with the software bundles and add an effect without the pedals. That being said, I am not a big fan of pedals. As I said, the inexpensive MII lets me try a few different things and when I get tired of experimenting, I can quickly turn a few knobs for the clean sound of a 65 twin. And just for the record, in my opinion, the MII 65 twin sound doesn't compare to the heavier twin. I really did'nt expect it to.

I will say a big YAY!

I bought one for my 9 year old son for Christmas and didn't expect a lot. But as I was helping him get it started I was blown away by the sounds. When he went to a friend's house a couple of days after Christmas, I spent hours messing around with it. I didn't plug into FUSE, I just enjoyed tweaking the sounds on the amp and playing it.

The other day, we plugged it into FUSE and there were tons of tones and lots (too many for me) options to play around with. After hours, I realized that we had only scratched the surface.

I love it so much that I am selling my only tube amp (a Blackheart Handsome Devil) and buying a Mustang II for myself. It allows me to get great sounds through headphones and at low volumes (which is a good idea for me with 4 kiddos in the house.)

No hybrid amp or solid state or DSP type amp has come anywhere close to being as much fun for me or having as many vintage usable tones. I'm not saying that it beats a Bassman, or any other great Fender Tube amp, but the sounds are really really great. They have done a great job getting the character of the amps and making them usable. The recording tones that you get from a $100 or $200 amp are unprecedented. I have never had this much fun with an amp.

It certainly won't replace a great tube amp on stage, but after doing a lot of research, I find that this is by far the best practice amp for me, better than modeling amps that cost 3-4x as much made by other companies.

I think the Mustang amps have to be evaluated in light of their features, tone, and price. While the Mustang II is no match for my 60W all-tube Fender SuperSonic, the Mustang is an amazing amp for the price. Great tone, very simple design, and lightweight. Line 6 has to be scrambling right now to develop a product this good and keep the price point below $200. I am still amazed how much fun this amp is and how awesome the tones are. I can get a SRV tone that kills.

Even though I've just started using a Mustang I, I have to say YAY.

Between the great sound and variety of presets and the ability to record with USB, this amp has a lot going for it!

The only people that I have seen say NAY to these amps are people who seem to think that for $100-200 they should have an amp that sounds better than their $2000 bassman or Deluxe Reverb Reissue.

This amp will not blow away a great tube amp. But it will give you the most realistic Digital recreations of Tube tones. Line 6 can't match it, Vox can't match it, Digitech can't match it, Boss can't match it.

Without a doubt this amp will help me become a better guitarist than my Tube amp that I am selling. I can't practice on my tube amp at night while the kids are asleep, but the Mustang gives me the best low volume tones of any amp that I can find.

The other thing that the Mustang has going for it is...
For any price, I can not find any amp that recreates this many great Fender amp tones. I can't wait to pick up my Mustang II. My son has reclaimed his Mustang I to his room.

You said it paztormike! I know, at low volume its like being in magic candy land  I've never heard an Amp sound so beautiful like this at such low volume(s). I can play while the rest are asleep and nobody but me can hear it (nice that its a closed back, keeps the sound directed to us)

I bought new speaker for the Tube Amp...but if it doesn't cut-it, I'm getting rid of it as well. Mustang is so far my Tone King (and i'm talking bout' the guy off utube lol) Tone King Here ........... lol

Yeah, they have everything I want, then some. You figure, one good guitar pedal costs
anywhere from 100 to 200 bucks these days. We're getting an entire 40-watt RMS Tone King Amp (that doesn't break my back or wallet) lol ..with zillions of effects for approx. 200 ..em I dreaming

Its a YAY for me as well.
Its a great practice/rehearsal amp.
I love the FUSE program which allows me to keep my computer tweaking skills.
Its not going to replace my Mesa Express 5:25, but I wouldn't even hesitate to take the Mustang 2 out to gig with.
Thanks Fender!
