Hello all,

At the store where I bought my mustang II the man who was helping me I believe said something along the lines of being able to record what I played when I hook the amp up into my computer with the software.

If this is true, is there anyone who can help me work it?

Thank ya, rossduhboss

Rossduhboss,

Yes, you can record with your Fender Mustang amp. Below is a link you should take a look through. This will walk you through the basic steps to set up your amp for recording. Please call or email us if we can be of further assistance.

The page for the Fender Universal ASIO Driver is 404'ed.
I sent an e-mail to the broken links team but if you know somewhere else I can download it that would be appreciated!

maybe I'm just an idiot but jbloggs I just downloaded both of those and I have no clue what to do with them. I went through my programs and I didn't see "AmpliTube Fender LE" which is the 2nd step on the support page (http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... d-playback) for how to set up recordings.

I'm pretty sure I have the driver now I just need help getting the AmpliTube Fender LE program

You dont need both...Just install the one that matches your Operating System .. if you use Windows 7 install the Win 7 *.exe else the seond one for Win XP/Vista.

All these programs should be on your MII CD I think. Amplitude, Ableton, Fuse, Asio, Silverlight, etc ...

If you can't figure out how to record since this software is more for professionals, just
install Fuse, MS Silverlight and the ASIO driver and check this thread for a get-sraight-to-it-simple-track-recorder.

The ASIO protocol used for recording directly can be a bit confusing even for people who have used recording software before... The instructions are a must. Audacity, for one, can't be used because it doesn't support ASIO. To add to the confusion you cannot playback in say Ableton Live without exporting the file or changing the audio settings because it will try to output to the Fender ASIO which will simply do nothing.

Really eh...Well that's silly, cuz that's probably why i never heard my playback in Ableton
but I could see that it recorded something..awe well, I'm to old to learn it now lol..I've since uninstalled Amplitude and Ableton...man Windows takes up so much space...whats it do, mirror the data 50 times lol.. I made 20Gb partition for Windows and after Windows
installed its updates for a month i'm at 18Gb used already....what a pig :D Only two things holding me back from returning to my Unices is Netflix and Fuse. God, I hope moonlight catches up quick with silverlight.

That's not true at all. You definitely can record and playback in Live without changing any settings at all. If you couldn't playback, recording wouldn't be of much use. The Fender ASIO driver isn't much different from the many other ASIO drivers out there. If you're having an issue getting it to work properly with proper setup, you may have a hardware incompatibility to blame. There's so many different integrated sound cards out there and it's impossible for ASIO to work well with all of them. I've never been a fan of off the shelf PC's for audio for that reason.

Although I prefer Reaper to record, I got it to work in Ableton. Here's a screenshot of the Audio settings in Ableton along with the Fender Asio settings. You can click the Hardware Setup button on the Ableton Audio settings screen to access the Asio settings.
