I've seen some fender folks here... hoping you can answer this question...

Is there now, or will there possibly be in the future, an api to access the settings of the mustang 1/2? Even a command line utility would be great - then I could write my own front end.

It's not that I don't like the fuse software, I do, but I have an app I wrote to play backing tracks (fade-in / out, manage set lists, etc...) at my restaurant gigs, and it would be sweet to have amp presets as part of the picture.

I'd also like to write a front-end that isn't so GUI/Image heavy that could run on a netbook.

Unfortunately, there are no plans to release an API at this point. However, we are considering it for the future but we don't have a time frame.
