There was the Russian Web site that had the Mustang III listed, but has anyone heard anything else about a potential announcement or release date?

Most of it relates back to here or vice versa...Search this forum and you'll find more or same about it. Looks like they pulled them off the shelves really quick over there...so I
guess when they really release them..they'll be one rock solid, king stereo tone of an AMP. I'd LOVE to know more myself..what new effects have been added, new amp models, etc... a sneak peak :P

I suspect NAMM will be the launch venue.

Looks like the details have changed though. 75 Watts instead of 100. Oh well.

Didn't see watts listed. Based on this as well as the timing of the Jan namm show, seems safe to assume a press release is pending this month. I also assume it will be priced at $299.

At 490 Euros which is $655 US, I doubt we're talking $299. Even when you take out the Euro gouge factor and VAT and the fact that this is undoubtably MSRP--which in product-scarce Europe is often what music and electronics sell for, it's hard to see this translating to less than $399 if not $499. Though I agree $299 would be the logical price step up based on the I & II. Good news is we'll know in a couple of weeks.

I don't think I'll bother if it's 490 euros. The II is less than 200.

looks like bigger speakers, more amps, cabinets and effects, and more options with a more advance foot pedal!

MIII is $299 street. Has the awesome LCD screen. Celestion speaker, 100 watts, and the option of a 4-button F/S w/integrated tuner. And all the USB goodies of the MII. What's not to like? I'm booking passage to my GC the minute they show up.

They've been released. Just a question now of when the stores are getting them in. Fender has obviously timed this so they can say "in stores now" at NAMM. Which is music to our ears. How many companies can do that? Usually we hear "expected to ship around the third quarter..." or something.
