Anybody had any luck dialing in a univibe effect on teh Mustang 1? I keep trying to get it with the Fuse stomps, but not even getting close. Looking for "Machine Gun/Bridge of Sighs" vibe with no luck.

Found a couple so-called Machine Gun presets in the online repository, but none that even attempt to address the U-vibe portion of the tone.

Its pretty hard to do.. but using the Phaser .. you can get fairly close.
Note: Fender Mustang has the names backwards.. Flanger = Phaser
and the Phaser = Flanger and another thing... there is no Octaver
that i can find in Fuse.. but the manual says there is .. wish there was.

I uploaded one called Hendrix - Hey Baby ... it might not sound good
on yours since I'm still using Firmware 1.4 ... I thought I updated to
the latest but I didn't know how until now...only i CANT access the
1.6 file yet . If the Hey Baby sounds really bad... dial back the speed
on Phaser (Flanger) and it gets an (almost) Machine Gun effect.

When I update to the new Firmware 1.6.x I'll test it out and fix it..I'll
probably have to fix all of them... There's a SRV- Cold Shot which sounds
exact to Stevie's Leslie Rotating / Doppler speaker ..but it may sound off
if you've already updated your firmware to latest.... anyhow ..I talk to much
cya :D

Thanks for the help. The fact that phaser=flanger (and vise-versa) was something I hadn't figured out yet and is truly helpful to know.

If i get it close messing with it tonight, I'll upload.

Thanks again!

I could be wrong, but I think Vibratone, is supposed to be like UniVibe.

Yes. There both going after the rotating speaker effect... but an actual high-end uni-vibe is closer to the Hendrix sound... The Vibratone effect on the Mustang's is amazing
for the true Fender Leslie / Doppler Rotating (Rotovibey) sound. Uni-vibe is a Phaser-like sound... but its pretty hard to re-produce on Mustang's (least for now).

I was dying to use the Actaver (octave-up) ... but I can't find it ... less they decided to replace it with the Pitch-Shifter, which is nifty too.

Yeah, I think the Mustang Vibratone is a pretty good reproduction of a Leslie....unfortunately, the Univibe as used by Hendrix and Trower, etc. was a piss-poor reproduction of the Leslie sound. So the vibratone sounds nothing like a U-Vibe.

The U-vibe was a unique red-headed stepchild - a failure at it's intended mission -which is probably why a cat like Hendrix adopted it and made it his own.

I've gotten close with various combinations of chorus and phase over the years, but never nailed it. I guess I'm just going to have to stop being so cheap and spring for one of the Roger Mayer units...someday.

True ... there may be way with Mustang... So far.. my attempt sounds to "out of tune"
but maybe mixing like you say, chorus with phaser, certain delay... i dunno..probably
can nail it...and Trower drowned in that sound alright :D ..but yeah purchasing a $100-$200 pedal will do it ... just like I'm getting ready to grab the dunlop octavio... but damn.. be nice if they added those sounds to the M III's... so i'm waiting it out for now. Fender rocks!
