That was using brit. [VOX AC30 Clean] preset... and yeah, well, I guess they figure everyone jumps to Youtube these days...else it would be fun and probably a hit if they added something like the gcaudiotrax...who knows...bandwidth etc..

Great clip! Forgive my ignorance but is this part of a song or are you just jamming out?

The first ones Castles Made of Sand by Jimi James and the Blue Flames

I can't say enough about them. I truly love them. Some people call them the "Toneless" pups for a joke.. but if you lower the middle and neck pups down as low as you can..then have the bridge pup as high as you need...the sound is super clean and chimey. In fact, there even weaker than any real single coil.. since there 9.8K, split in half makes them approx 4.8K ohms a pup!! (can't get any weaker thna that!!). I've a few sets of pickups here ranging from Lolar blackface to Fralin specials....but the hum drives me nutz and vintage noiseless are so much nicer to my ears.

Main sounds i'm after since i'm not original in any way lol ..is the always the SRV King
Tone's.

Weaker pickups for SRV - his pickups were standard late 50/60's p'ups - per measurements taken off the actual #1 guitar they were in the high 5 to low 6K range. The power in SRV's sound came from the big strings and loud amps - and from his playing style of course. If you actually go back and listen to his sound it's actually very clear and vintage - not the kind of sound you get from a mid heavy, overwound pickup.
I think they market "hot" pickups as the "Texas/SRV" sound because most people use lighter strings and lower power amps, so they're trying to make up for the difference w/ the pickups. Close, but no cigar. Vintage Noiseless do it all, then some. Clapton even
fell in love with them :D

Ah yes I've experimented a bit with the pickup height. I put them all the way up then down, then to Fender specs, finally I settled conservatively on a bit lower than the specs. I just got the Mustang II today which brings out a lot of tonal subtleties I was missing with my old amp (which was meant for acoustic-electric guitars) so I might try bringing the pickups down to the deck again. Lowering them does bring out the chime doesn't it? I love the absolute silence from these pups too, you can forget that the amp is even on if you put the guitar down for a minute!

True ... lowest is best with these pups I've found. To date: I have not found a more clean, crystal, quacky and more chimey pickup. And best of all, there's no hum,
nice and quiet with rich harmonics. Yes, they really seem to love these Mustang Amps.

Sweet guitars :D ...flatter radius on the necks too. Better for lowering string action and doing bends.

I picked one up soon after the price drop, even at the original price it was a steal. Now for just a hundred bucks more than the standard mexican there's absolutely no reason to NOT get one. I always hear people complaining about hum and noise on single-coils, I have had no such problem with the Vintage Noiseless pups and my practice room is basically an EMP field of noise. Saves you from killing your sound with noise gates and other gimmicks. Things like crappy pedals will pick up hum in my room but the strat will be dead quiet (which is why I've cut my gear down to just the amp and guitar).

Yeah I know ... my other guitars except one, use true single coils. I grabbed these
Dragon Fire Noiseless which we're said to sound like Fender's Vintage Noiseless but
there NO WAY like Fender's...for one they would only fit into one of the strat bodies
here ..since there double decker stacked...and after listening to them ..yes, there
quiet but they are in fact TONELESS..they all sound the same...I can't barely tell
if im playing the neck or bridge pup...gayest pickups ever....so i'm ordering another
Fender Vintage Noiseless set in the new yr. I'm gonna try 250K pots...since i'm already
using 1000K w/ a treble bleed...figure I might as well try them in the next guitar with the warmer pot sound :D
