You raise an interesting issue about more models. We know that Stangs I and II have more models in FUSE than the G-DEC 3s. Wonder if the III+'s will have extra models in FUSE?

The Gear Page are a bunch of cork-sniffing hedge fund managers who collect $5,000 boutique amps like an old lady collects cats. I wouldn't waste any angst over dilettante amp hoarders who judge tone from the number of zeros on the price tag.

Fender Lounge is the real world of amp owners and users. And props to Fender for giving us workingmen and women such cool and affordable tools such as the Mustangs to make great music with.

"I guess you would say the objectives are durability, performance, and tone." -- Leo Fender on his company's mission statement, 1971

hey you just got your first pick ..lucky!! ..so its 100 i gotta reach huh
Move over rover .. ill make it one these days!! and yeah .. hope they add more ..and if not to the new MIII's etc .. add'em to Fuse :o) in case i dont buy a another amp rite away. ..plus i kinda dig this one to the mill!!! cuz u never know ..like all the older Fenders ..the first ones they come out with were the best sounding gems to hang onto..and as time went on they got further away from the orig. sound .. sort of ..well i dunno .. .. Yeah i know these aint no boutique / vibro king $$$ .. but i think blackface came before silverface, etc.. so you kind know what i mean .. well will see .. I hope the next ones are better .. cuz i think i just blew a tube in mine ....... kiddin :P

I remember when I was a kid my '65 Twin's tubes getting bluer and bluer and I'd be praying they wouldn't blow until I had enough cash to replace em. They always did. Tubes first, food second. EU Wurlitzer always had some cheapass reconditioned or something tubes. Long before you matched tubes. Cash from one gig bought you one tube.

Don't really miss em none. Mustangs are like going from a gas guzzler to an electric car.

Perfectly said ... all while retaining that tube like sound.

There should at least be a link back to these forums, as this is where most of the stuff is found first.

I agree. But the real question is, now that you know the specs of the amps, is there one that you like and is going to fit in your apartment? :)

I don't know to be honest. The guitar speaker thing is ridiculous. I could get a speaker swapped in, but then I may as well just pay for an FX loop to be put into the II.

Maybe I should just get the II, or a I and a Keyboard amp. The thing is I mostly play with electronic acts and they expect you to run everything through a PA. Lugging around a 37 pound amp is seen as lightweight in a band, but ridiculously heavy as an electronic act when you're carrying around a laptop, synth etc.

I have a ZT Lunchbox for such venues when I need an onstage monitor for guitar.

I wish they made the Mustang stuff into a compact pedal. That would be amazing.

What about getting the Mustang V (Ipretty sure I am), it's just a head and weights 27lbs (according to the specs)?

Heavier than the mustang II and I'd still need a full range speaker!

Some folks are looking at the MI and the $119 Kustom 100-watt 12"/horn 2-way powered FRFR PA speaker. For a grand total of $219 you get a serious and flexible rig with all the power you need.
