Hey Loren,

I have it for six months. Its a shame but i didn't have enough time to play it much, so its like a brand new one. The knobs are the same since it has arrived (ordered online). I always keep my gear in top condition, you couldn't find any gunk or a fingerprint anywhere.
I'm just keep a check on the whole system, changing pickups, etc, and i'd like to know if there is anything to fix or change.

I checked out a bunch of Mustangs here and the resistance of the knobs seems to be pretty consistent between units. However, I did notice a few Mod knobs that seemed to have a little more resistance than the other knobs. It was barely perceptible, though. It could have been my imagination, really.

The wheel of time is rolling slow here so I have the time to ask more questions. Just in case, if my stang can't be fixed and I'll have more problems with the pots in the future...
What kind of pots a re in the Stang I/II? The Master could be normal pot, maybe the other knobs with numbers too? The Mod and the Dly/Rev is something special or it could be replaced easily if its needed?

Hi psfour,

No worries. I would suggest that you just keep an eye on the various knobs on the amp. They should be fine. And in the event that something malfunctions on the amp, the unit has a five year warranty. Just be sure to keep your receipt. And please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

With five year it won't be a problem but here in the Wild West Europe its only one year. (Sometimes it is really difficult to use the warranty too.) I'll continue using it and keep eye on it.

Hi psfour

Right. I did not know you were in Europe. The 5 year warranty is only for the US. So, are you having trouble with it now? Or are you just having some general concerns?

Cheers,

My question was general about the type of the pots, if I'll have any problems with these potentiometers after the warranty has been expired. If it is easy to replace them (by a technician) maybe I won't drive hundreds of miles to the service for only a possibility of repair.
Thanks for all your support! :)

Hi Guys,

My apologies for the confusion. Please see the link below to clarify the Fender Warranty policies in the US and internationally. And in regard to repair and rotary pots, etc., the best advice is to use the amp and enjoy it. If a problem arises, then contact your regional Fender distributor or Fender dealer for support and repair. And be sure to hold on to your sales receipt. Please let me know if I can assist further.
