After driving the GC sales crew nuts for a week while I tried these amps out every day, I finally pulled the trigger. Just got home with the Mustang II and I am very happy. Great tones, lots of options, can't wait to upload the software.

Looks like a great forum here, gang. Lots of info...

Yeppers - A wonderful AMP indeed ... I've had mine for 2 weeks and the sound continues to amaze ... Today was a Clapton day.. and the Mustang brought me there.

Congrats.

I get particularly good early Clapton tones with my 335 clone. It just loves this amp.

Dude, hopefully you will get as much enjoyment from it as anybody here.

I find myself, like the other poster, going between sounds depending on my mood, daily. I'll have an REM fit, then go into Thin Lizzy for a whole day, then Priest and Maiden when I'm stressed out. This amp is a therapeutic tool.

Coolness. Sure you seen all the utoob vids w/ Clapton playing his ES's ... I think he played better on them .. took him further .. and def. these AMPs capture a dead-on Clapton tone ... which is something new to me ...

That's a great point! A therapeutic tool! Lately, I find myself addicted to the Metal 2000 setting. Its just so frickin fun to play. And I am NOT a metal player...
