Greetings...

I do solo jazz gigs playing guitar over original backing tracks produced in my protools based studio. These tracks are amplified by a separate stereo sound system. I'd like to be able to use the Mustang II as my primary guitar "voice" [via internal 12" speaker] but also have a simultaneous stereo feed from the Mustang II into my sound system. My goal would be to feed just a bit of the stereo output from the Mustang II into my sound system to "widen" the primary guitar tone.

I understand that the headphone out is a stereo signal, but plugging in a 1/8 plug disables the Mustang's internal speaker. Can anyone suggest a practical way to have the 12" speaker and headphone out [stereo] active at the same time? Could this just involve a simple mod to the headphone plug so the internal speaker is not disabled when a cable is connected to headphone jack? I believe the GDECs have a dedicated set of line outs and can operate the way I've described.

Any suggestions?

Thanks....

Ok... did a bit more reading. I understand the USB output is active all the time. So does anyone know of a gadget that would plug into the Mustang's USB port and provide analog stereo outs - essentially a dedicated D/A converter without requiring connection to a laptop?

Hi Jazz,

Perhaps (???) something like this would work. Replace the laptop with the Mustang. You would also need to get from regular usb to mini usb, that's not hard.

USB Adapter?
