Any help? recommendations?

What Stringsxxx says (btw Sub'd your Y!Tube channel).

Also worth mentioning or not? if you want a more exact feel you hear coming from your amp speaker. I picked up a Pyle-Pro PPR80 Digital Portable Stereo Recorder for $30 on Amazon I set in front of the Speaker when not using the USB input. It records exceptionally well. But I think after fooling around more with the Amp parameters you'll achieve what you want.

<Snip>The USB Gain control can be found in the Fender FUSE Advanced Amp panel. It can be adjusted and it's settings can be saved on a per-preset basis. This means that you can set the USB Gain at a certain level on one preset and save it independently of the USB Gain setting for any other presets. [/i][/b]
Interesting to learn that FUSE permits this Advanced Amp USB trim value to be saved individually as a parameter for each Preset! I do not recall seeing this directly on the Amp itself. I guess that w/o FUSE there is no way to access this parameter, and as this is recording and DAW related a PC/Mac would be involved anyway so FUSE is but a click away.

My guess is that is an entirely different parameter than the Line Out Boost parameter accessible via the Amp's UTIL button menu.

That's because it's hidden:

this is something I had to seek out:

Press and hold EXIT and turn the Channel Volume knob to control USB Gain.

Not only is it hidden, that Exit + Channel Volume function is only for the Mustang I and II (it does nothing on a Mustang (v2) III/IV/V)!

Maybe it was only for the (V1) series or did you check your firmware in case it's fw 1.8 or earlier - seems fw 1.9 introduced the option. Regardless the PDF guides don't seem to list the option. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5-MZv1eEh8

Surely that's an oversight if this is the case ... why in the world would they remove that functionality? :? Is there a different way to do it with the Mustang (v2) III/IV/V now? Maybe Fender staff can clear this up...

Yep, my amp is v1 so that's all I have to go by.

The PDF link you provided explicitly states the "Fender Mustang I/II (V.1 &V.2)"

It would be great to hear from Fender TSL about how to accomplish a USB Gain adjustment directly on the Amp if there is such a method for the Mustang III/IV/V.

yes, thank you Mr. Law, I can read.

And yet I assure you, the adjustment works on my v1 Fender Mustang III amp.
